Photo of the Dewey Arch on 5th avenue near Madison Square in New York City, NY. This arch was built in 1899 and only lasted until 1901 before it was torn down. It had been erected for the parade in honor of Admiral George Dewey to celebrate his victory in the Battle of Manila Bay at the Philippines in 1898. This photo dates to 1900.
