European Photos

This vintage collection of old photos of Europe captures the history and culture of Europe during the late 1800's. These are restored photochrome prints that were colored using a unique process that gives these photos a 'hand-colored' feel to them. Nice photo views of old street scenes, towns and villages, and so much more. We currently have photos from England, Ireland, Amsterdam, France, Germany, and Italy.

Photochrom or Photochrome is a colorizing process combining photography and color lithography. Photochrome may also refer to the modern age of color postcards in America. Photochrom is used to create a color print from a black and white photo negative, using between four and fourteen lithograph stones, made from rocklike substances, to colorize the print with several different inks.
